WONDERFUL NEWS

In my Last Blog I recounted how I had found an e-mail address for each of my Sons who I had lost contact with over 5 years ago, well I have had a reply from my Eldest Son Jamie!  This means the world to me and I annot adequately express my joy and excitement at this!  {Who knows he may even join this site! though interested in models his main activity is in music and song writing}

Another bit of news which could be good is that I have had a cryptic e-mail from 4Nscale to say a package of un-specifierd content had alledgedly been sent to me on Tuesday of this week!  There were no content details, no order ref and no tracking number and i could simply be a trick to try to buy time as it was 24 hours before paypal were to close my claim for a refund.  However the following couple of weeks should show weather it was a ploy or  them really honouring my order.  Needless to say I've heard noting so far  from them  after my  request for content and tracking number.

A few deisions made and experiments undertaken,  The experiments were attempts to contact my estranged sons, I've sort for them for years now and last night or early this morning in a semi-deam state I actually had an inspiration of how to track them down and it worked!  Wheather any contact will develop is in the Creator's hands, we shall see but it could be a momentus development so I felt it only correct to record it here.

And the decision was that I will sell off the steamers that I collected to run the Branch Line which of course in the last re-build I  decided not to re-build!  I have the small tail chaser layout in my study I showed you all part of in the last Examiner and I shall leve just a enough to roster that line.  It will mean some favorites going like the adorable Atlas old timer wood buring 2-6-0 and a rare early English loco exported to Japan  and modeled by micro-ace .  This particular loco will have a high reserve on it because I love it so much!  I am hoping that by selling these locomotives I'll be able to get the M10,000 when its released in April.
Latest on my clain for my Paypal money back is that I shall know their decision after the 19th and then I'll find out if the shop left any money in their Paypal account which I doubt ... BUT I live in hope!!!

Well I hardly know where I am let alone where I am going!  After a long wait I finally had sold enough old stock to buy the Con Cor Aero-train basic set so I put this in motion two weeks ago with my liong term supplier in Georgia "4Nscale"  Wane and Kris have never let me down and when they failed to pass on to me the tracking number for the package I didn't think anything of it.  However when nothing arrived last week I e-mailed to them to ask for it but got no reply.  Later I tried to phone them, but no reply there either! Now two weeks after the parcel should have left there on a 5 working day delivery I still have nothing!

Sadly it looks like they have ceased trading!  Now I am trying to find out how far Paypal and my credit card will cover the payment....   The Credit card will only cover a tiny fraction and Paypal seem to be equally all sound and furry but little help. I've never the less put in a claim but what good it will do me I am not at all sure.  Needless to say I am far from a happy bunny!

At last All the lights are connected in the Las Rocas area.  These include the street scene with the fire in the hotel, the Roundhouse Workshops and the Roundhouse office, the signal towwer and station complex.  It also includes the interior of Mat &Ralph's mine in Boyle Canyon, for many reasoins this is the first time in a few years that that has seen life!

This means that all the tasks I wanted to complerte before Chris arrives Sunday are completed.

Tomorrow I will attempt to complie an easy to use list of the various passenger train names  to help non regular opperators.

On Friday I plan to get more ballast and work on the line by the ghost town and around Dannville.

There is a brand new Video in the section page... so Go and see it!  Stephen  has worked hard to film edit and get it  posted to U-Tube and I am deeply grateful for all his help.   Have you any ideas for subjects of future Video's?  If so tell me and we will attempt to film them for you!

Appart from the Video production Stephen was here to detail his Pacer unit ... star of "Wild West Pacer"!  It was great fun painting the interior, building the toilet partition and adding the distinctive green handrails inside.

Our next task will be to fit the correct doors to it and lighting for the interiorThen we start on detailing his massive fleet of HST cars!  {About 20 of them!}  But the great improvement after adding the interior details makes it all very worth while.

Do you detail and populate your passinger cars?  I do all my N scale ones and with "00" or "H0" there really is no excuse why not!  It creates a far more realistic setting for a very limited amout of work.

Last weeks job was to get track cleaned, I was greatly helped in this by "UP Nick" who sold me a Tomix track cleaning car its complex beastie complete with vacume !  And what a load of filth it fetched off the track!  I was horrified! Many many thanks my friend for this useful item of stock!

New Year's Day 2009

Greetings!

I do hope this year is one of blessing  and fulfilment for one and all!

Today has seen the dramatic development of the site to include both a Video section, a section on Chris Dann's Japanese Line and a look at my own Clearwater Arizona And Pacific Railroad set in the Wild West days of 1865 and modeled in HO Scale!  the problem of how to activate the link to Charl's Morganth Layout remains but I a trying to get that up and running!

Well here we are!  A brand new Web site for a new year!  I'm struggling with following all the instructions and I just hope it actually works!  I've set up a ring or group so that like minded modelers can inter communicate and promote each others sites.  So far I have one member of this site, namely my friend Charles.. Welcome Charles and as soon as he can get his e-mail working I know there will be another friend namely Chris followed by Steve a fiend who also helps me in my layout as well as running his own Uk based "oo" loft layout.  If you have an interest in American Model Railroads then please join !  You do not even have to have a model Railroad yourself, this site is to encourage and share things through and I welcome "arm-chair or read-only modelers!"
